That’s MEWhere to begin…
I’ve always been involved in the arts, spending the first decade or so of my professional life as a trumpet player in and around Nashville, TN.
That’s right, a trumpet player.
A desire to “get off the road” (to be home more with family) coupled with an insatiable thirst for learning lead me to return to college in 2000 and pursue a degree in Design. Already a photographer at that time, I decided to push limits of my abilities as a photographer and apply that visual education to my photographic endeavors.
It’s worked out well! I don’t view photo sessions and weddings with the traditional photographers eye, but instead view them as opportunities to take advantage of “moment”, emotion, composition, and lighting. On my best days, these things converge in the creation of truly compelling images… full of environment, emotion, and meaning.
To me, a particular type of photography isn’t what brings me to the game. It’s the people. I go through my portfolio and find myself dumbstruck that such wonderful people would give me the privilege of being involved in such important moments… moments they’ll only get back by viewing their photographs. In that light, I think my job is one of the most important an artist could have.
Capturing time itself.
Are you a Lover… a Senior… a Family?
It would be an honor to “stop time” with you.
